A cross post....
---------------------------------------
""The media will always classify it as a "pit bull" when it attacks. That is why, regardless of the mix the breeders need to cull the human aggressive dogs.""
The media should have been sued years ago, and should still be sued today. Infact, the NTC ( www.nationalterriersclub.com ) is looking for lawyers who will take such a case on. Mind you, its something the adba, ukc, and akc should have done years ago. There is only one breed of dog called the "Pit Bull" and they have no legal standing to report that a "Pit Bull" has attacked or killed someone when it is not a Pit Bull. It is vicious, fraudulent, and it is illegal.
This issue is at the heart of all bsl and all anti-"Pit Bull" sentiment. This is where the Media, Animal Rights groups, AADR, ADBA, UKC, and AKC have work so well together. As APBT owners we have allowed these people to bastardize the APBT name and use it against APBT owners.
You cannot inject man killing blood into the APBT and expect then not to grow up and be man killers. It is not a case of rouge APBT's ending up in the media, it is a case of Man Killing breeds being called APBT's or man killing breeds being bred to APBT's. Without this bastardization , the APBT would not be in the spotlight and the very few rouge APBT's would simply represent a normal number (or below normal number) of attacks compared to other attacks committed by NON human aggressive breeds.
The ADBA and UKC registers all breeds.. I challenge them to take all their non apbt's and crossed apbt's and do the right thing by registering them now as bandogs. I challenge the AADR to throw out all their non apbt's and apbt crosses. These registries can end all of the anti-pit bull and bsl by simply cleaning their own houses. If they do not, the NTC will do it for them.
